My mum and grandmother have been cooking for our family and since young, I am very attracted to the aromas of the kitchen, the different spices and tastes and smells. It made me into such a big foodie. I would travel far for food because I believe that food encompasses different scents and cultures and ingredients all tossed together into one magical delight for your tastebuds. It is a collision of many places and things. Enough of appreciating food, I wanted to start creating. I embarked on a culinary journey and travelled to many countries to taste different flavour profiles, all while having my full-time job. It is far from perfect though, I have come across food that gave me food poisoning, foods that don’t taste good at all but my passion is still there. My cooking has tasted bad multiple times, burnt, overcooked, bland. But everything was a learning experience for me to better my skills.

Passion is a very strong thing because it can take you places, can ruin you, best of all, it can make you stronger.

Cooking has pushed me further than ever before. I host lunches with specialised menus to push my creative boundaries and conduct affordable workshops to teach people what I know. I did all these slowly, but surely. It is a side passion that I will never stop loving nor will give up anytime soon. When you have a passion don’t be afraid of it and chase it but do not feel pressured to rush into it!
